TEST MODE — Play money, not real dollars

How It Works

90Picks is a parimutuel betting platform. That's a fancy word for a simple idea: everyone bets into a shared pot, and winners split it.

1

Pick a match

Browse upcoming World Cup 2026 matches. Each match has its own pot that anyone can bet into.

2

Choose your outcome

Every match has three options: Home win, Draw, or Away win. Pick the one you think will happen in 90 minutes of regular time.

3

Put your dollars in

Bet as little as $1 or as much as $10,000. Your money goes into the shared pot for that match. Betting closes 15 minutes before kickoff.

4

Watch the match

Sit back and watch. When the final whistle blows after 90 minutes, the result is locked in. If the game goes to extra time or penalties, the 90-minute score counts — so a 0-0 after 90 minutes means Draw wins.

5

Winners split the pot

If your pick was right, you get a share of the entire pot — proportional to how much you bet. The less popular your pick, the bigger your share.

Key things to know

Odds aren't fixed

Unlike a traditional sportsbook, there are no locked-in odds. The payout multiplier changes as more people bet. When you see ~2.0x, that's an estimate based on the current pot. The final payout is only determined when betting closes.

Your payout depends on the pot

Your winnings = (your bet ÷ total bets on the winning outcome) × total pot. If you bet $100 on Home and Home gets $500 total out of a $1,000 pot, you'd win $200 (a 2.0x return). If fewer people pick your outcome, your return is higher.

90-minute result only

All bets are settled based on the score after 90 minutes of regular time. If a knockout match goes to extra time or penalties, the 90-minute result stands. A 1-1 after 90 minutes = Draw wins, even if one team advances on penalties.

Bets are final

Once you place a bet, it's locked in. There are no withdrawals or cancellations — unless the match itself is cancelled by the tournament, in which case you get a full refund.

A small fee keeps the lights on

A 2.5% fee is taken from the losing side's total before payouts are calculated. This means if you win, you're splitting 100% of the winning side's bets plus 97.5% of the losing side's bets.

Example

Mexico vs Canada — Total pot: $10,000

Mexico (Home)
$5,000
2.0x payout
Draw
$2,000
5.0x payout
Canada (Away)
$3,000
3.3x payout

If you bet $100 on Draw and the match ends 0-0, your share would be roughly $500 (your $100 out of $2,000 in Draw bets = 5% of the total pot = $500, minus fees).

If you bet $100 on Mexico and Mexico wins 2-1, your share would be roughly $200 (your $100 out of $5,000 in Mexico bets = 2% of the total pot = $200, minus fees).

The less popular pick always pays more — that's the beauty of parimutuel betting.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a match is cancelled?

If the tournament cancels a match (postponed, abandoned, etc.), all bets are fully refunded. You get every dollar back.

Can I cancel my bet after placing it?

No. All bets are final once placed. This is by design — it prevents manipulation and ensures the pot is fair for everyone.

What about extra time and penalties?

Only the 90-minute result counts. If a match goes to extra time, the score at the end of 90 minutes determines the outcome. A 0-0 draw at 90 minutes means Draw wins, regardless of what happens in extra time or penalties.

How do I add money?

Connect your wallet and use the 'Add money' link in the betting panel. You can add money from your bank, card, or existing balance via Coinbase.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are available as soon as the match result is confirmed. Tap 'Collect winnings' on the match page to receive your payout.

Is this safe?

90Picks runs on automated programs (smart contracts) on the Base network. These programs are transparent and tamper-proof — no one can change the rules or run off with the pot. However, like all software, there are inherent technology risks including potential bugs. Only bet what you can afford to lose.

Why do the odds keep changing?

Because it's parimutuel. The multiplier you see is based on the current pot. As more people bet, the pot changes, and so do the multipliers. The final payout is only locked when betting closes (15 minutes before kickoff).

What's the minimum and maximum bet?

Minimum: $1. Maximum: $10,000 per bet.

A note on risk

90Picks runs on automated programs (smart contracts) deployed on the Base network. While these programs have been thoroughly tested, all software carries risk. The Base network could experience congestion or outages. Bugs, while unlikely, are possible. Your bets are stored on a public blockchain and cannot be reversed once placed. Please bet responsibly and never risk more than you can afford to lose. By using 90Picks, you accept these risks. See our Terms of Service for full details.
